How to Prepare for a Consultation

If you truly desire long lasting results from the therapy you must be prepared to be committed to the course of
treatment. This means following advice, scheduling follow-up appointments, keeping notes of how you are reacting to the therapy and communicating openly. Most patients with acute (short term) problems improve immediately. And although most patients with chronic (long term) problems start noticing a change in one to four weeks, it's unrealistic to think that the problems will disappear overnight. It took your body a long time to become chronically ill, it will take patience and commitment for complete healing.

The first changes you may be likely to see is an improvement in your quality of sleep, a changing of your mood for the better and increased energy. Natural Healing happens from the inside out, so often sleep and other energetic changes improve before the physical symptoms improve.

Before our first consultation I will ask you to make some notes on your condition. Please write down the different symptoms you are experiencing and if possible try to remember the order in which the symptoms started appearing from earliest to most recent. Please note what times of the day the symptoms appear and what if anything makes them better and what if anything makes them worse. In the initial consultation I will spend time with you interviewing you about your symptoms so if you cannot make detailed notes beforehand don't worry most of the information will come out during the consultation. It may also be helpful to make notes of your most memorable dreams as these may also help point to the right remedy.

After the Initial Consultation and after your are given your prescription, follow-up visits if needed will usually be scheduled every four to eight weeks. It may be necessary to either decrease or increase the potency of your remedy depending on the progress you are making. Usually the most severe physical symptoms will disappear first and lesser symptoms will be resolved last, so in some cases I may prescribe a different remedy after your most serious symptoms are dealt with to focus more on the more minor symptoms. For example if you have a stomach ulcer, the stress that helped cause the stomach ulcer may have also caused you to break out in hives. After we cure the ulcer, I may choose another remedy to target the hives.

Please avoid the following when on your therapy; Alcohol, Recreational Drugs, Coffee, Camphor and Eucalyptus. these substances may render the remedy ineffective.

If you are already on any prescription drugs please do not stop taking them just because you are starting to improve
from the homeopathic therapy. It's dangerous to abruptly stop taking your meds. Instead consult with your prescribing physician and they can monitor your condition and ween you off the drug(s) if appropriate.
